| Yardage Lock | |
|---|---|
| Drew Brees (vs. Phi) |
I'm riding Brees like Sea Biscuit down the home stretch. The Eagles are only giving up 217 passing yards per game, but they are officially out of the playoffs and will have a let-down this week. Brees is a guaranteed lock to top 250 yards and I wouldn't be surprised if he busted off another 300 yard game. |
| Touchdown Lock | |
|---|---|
| Ben Roethlisberger (at StL) |
Add another highlight to Big Ben's already brilliant career...he was elected this week to his Pro Bowl. His confidence has to be sky high. The wide receiver tandem of Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes is finally healthy and the Steelers will finally have some good weather as they'll be playing indoors on turf. Roethlisberger is a lock for 2 touchdown passes this week. |
| Rank | Player | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Drew Brees (vs. Phi) |
Brees has been the hottest quarterback in the NFL over the second half of the season and the Eagles are only ranked 16th against the pass. Plus, the game will be played in the Superdome, which is a huge advantage over QBs like Brady with projected bad weather games. |
| 2 | Peyton Manning (vs. Hou) |
Manning had a mediocre game against the Raiders, but look for him to get back on track against the 18th ranked pass defense. |
| 3 | Ben Roethlisberger (at StL) |
Big Ben will get out of the cold and onto turf when the Steelers visit the Rams. He'll also have a healthy WR duo again (Ward & Holmes). |
| 4 | Tom Brady (vs. Mia) |
I know Brady lit up the Dolphins last time around, but he hasn't exactly been a stud in the recent bad weather games. The forecast for Sunday has a high in the 40s with showers...sounds like it could get sloppy. |
| 5 | Tony Romo (at Car) |
Jessica Simpson won't be present and Romo will be looking to answer the critics with a big game. |
| 6 | Matt Hasselbeck (vs. Bal) |
The Seahawks faltered against the Panthers, but they should rebound well against a Ravens team that has given up on 2007. |
| 7 | Kurt Warner (vs. Atl) |
Warner will have both Fitzgerald and Boldin for the game and the Falcons are an absolute mess. |
| 8 | Derek Anderson (at Cin) |
I am a big DA fan and the matchup this week is great, but he will probably struggle a bit this week in another bad weather game for the Browns. |
| 9 | Brett Favre (at Chi) |
The weather report for Sunday looks absolutely wicked: "High winds with a few snow showers. Highs in the mid 20s and lows in the low 20s." |
| 10 | Donovan McNabb (at NO) |
The Eagles are officially out of the playoffs and I think McNabb is going to have a let-down this week because of a lack of motivation. |
| 11 | Carson Palmer (vs. Cle) |
Palmer has an excellent matchup, but he's been far from a stud lately and the weather is supposed to be cold and rainy/snowy. |
| 12 | David Garrard (vs. Oak) |
Garrard had a great game against the Steelers, but the Raiders are coming off of a game where they held Peyton Manning in check. Fred Taylor will be the man in Jacksonville. |
| 13 | Vince Young (vs. NYJ) |
Young will bring his "A" game this week with the playoffs on the line, but what will that translate into from a fantasy perspective? |
| 14 | Jay Cutler (at SD) |
Cutler has been playing well of late, but he's going to run into a buzz saw in Week 16 as the Chargers pass defense is on fire. |
| 15 | Marc Bulger (vs. Pit) |
Bulger is back in action, but the Steelers are playing a must-win game and their blitzing defense will run wild on turf. |
| 16 | Philip Rivers (vs. Den) |
The Chargers are looking strong during the playoff push and Rivers (knee) will be starting and looking to find Antonio Gates as much as possible. |
| 17 | Jeff Garcia (at SF) |
This is a revenge game for Garcia as he'll have the opportunity to prove to the Niners that he still has game. |
| 18 | Jon Kitna (vs. KC) |
So much for the 10-win guarantee...Kitna imploded last week with 5 INTs. |
| 19 | Todd Collins (at Min) |
He has an excellent matchup this week against the worst pass defense in the NFL. |
| 20 | Eli Manning (at Buf) |
Eli has fallen off the fantasy cliff and he's a risky play this week even though the Bills are only ranked 28th against the pass. |
| 21-32 | Everyone Else | They're all garbage and not worth mentioning... |
