31 Williams, DeAngelo RB CAR 121 501 4.1 1 33 313 9.5 1 0 90
Williams is a dynamic player, capable of being a 1400 yard back in this league. The problem is that Coach Fox is very dedicated to supporting Deshaun Foster after Foster stuck with the Panthers through the Stephen Davis era. Williams will get his carries and he and Foster represent the second best option of a double headed monster behind McCallister and Bush. He will be a solid #3 back to place into your lineup during bye-weeks and is a must have for owners of Foster.
32 Barber, Marion RB DAL 139 658 4.7 14 26 219 8.4 2 0 168
Barber will enter the season as the #2 back behind Julius Jones. That didn't stop him from putting up 14 rushing TD's last season though. Barber will get the carries inside the 20 and is a slashing, downfield runner. His value in fantasy would explode were something to happen to Jones this season. He is a must get stop-gap option for Jones owners and is a quality #3 back by himself.
33 Jackson, Brandon, RB GB                   0
With the loss of Morency to injury during training camp, Jackson will have an opportunity to take over the starting gig in Green Bay. Jackson has not been a full-time starting back since high school, yes you read that correctly. To believe that he will be a 23 carry/game back in the NFL this season is ludicrous. He does have some value as the Packer backfield is weak at best, but no more than a later round flier as a #3 back with the hope of developing into a nice keeper.
34 Foster, DeShaun RB CAR 227 897 4 3 32 159 5 0 2 116
The bonus for Foster is that the Panthers organization is very loyal to him. He will be pushed all season long by 2nd year back, DeAngelo Williams. Foster has been an enigma in his career, flashing signs of brilliance, followed up by devestating injuries. He has been in a fantasy wasteland for sometime now until last season when he finally completed a year without a major setback. His time is limited, however he is still worth a later round pick as a #3 back.
35 Bell, Tatum RB DET 233 1025 4.4 2 24 115 4.8 0 5 115
Bell is an interesting option for the Detroit Lions. After rushing for over 100 yards last season, the Denver Broncos cut ties with their young tailback. He finds himself a home in Detroit where incumbent starter, Kevin Jones is suffering from an injury which could keep him out for the first part of the season. If Bell can establish himself as with the time afforded while Jones mends, there could be a RB contraversy by mid-season. He is worth a flier as a #4 back with a lot of potential.
36 White, LenDale RB TEN 61 244 4 0 14 60 4.3 0 0 21
It is difficult for us to back an overweight, lazy, sloveness running back like White, but he has the backing of Titans offensive coordinator Norm Chow. White has been nothing more than a disappointment for the Titans which is why they decided to let Travis Henry go and make White their feature back... Good Call. Do what you want with him. We are advising you to draft Jerome Bettis before him.
37 Droughns, Reuben RB NYG 220 758 3.4 4 27 169 6.3 0 4 104
At this point, Droughns is more of a gamble pick with the possibility of getting a gem. The Giants will open the season with Jacobs as their number one. Unless he falters, Droughns will see limited action and be in line for a 4-500 yard season at best. On the flip side, starting behind the Giants line could provide Droughns with a possible 1000 yard season. Strictly a risk-reward pick here.
38 Jordan, LaMont RB OAK 114 434 3.8 2 10 74 7.4 0 1 61
After an atrocious 2006 season, Jordan receives a boost up the draft board following the news of Rhodes suspension to start the '07 season. Jordan cost many owners their entire season last year as many fantasy boards had him in the late first to early second round. Ouch! No one will make that mistake this season as the Raiders offense is simply horrible leaving Jordan as a low-end #3 at best.
39 Norwood, Jerious RB ATL 99 633 6.4 2 13 102 7.8 0 0 87
Falcons Coach Bobby Petrino has been raving about Norwoods speed and break away ability all off-season since his arrival in Atlanta. The days for Warrick Dunn are certainly numbered. The problem is that Dunn is still there. Confounding the situation is Jason Snelling who more and more looks like the back who will see the goal line carries. If that is the case, Norwood is nothing more than a low-end #3 back to grab late on draft day.
40 Peterson, Adrian, RB MIN                   0
Former Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson joins the Vikings this season and is one of the few promising rookies to take a flier on. Peterson is big, fast, and athletic and by Game 4, will be seeing 10-12 carries per game. Depending on his production, he could unseat Chester Taylor as the Vikings primary option out of the backfield. If the injury bug stays away, Peterson will be a late round steal for your team this season.
